But like fellow blonde Paris Hilton, the pretty Jessica drove around in her SUV all these years while many of her celeb peers shifted to green vehicles. Heck even Paris gifted herself a hybrid toy a few days ago on her birthday!
Then at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards the pop princess won herself a free Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 convertible....worth $50,000. This money was taxable unless she donated the car to charity. But celebrities love to get free gifts and our Jessica fell in love with the convertible:
A whole year (nearly) went by and Jessica had fun with the sexy car. Then in March 2007, before the taxman came knocking, sweet Jessica Simpson felt a generous impulse to help orphans down in Mexico. But since orphans don't have much use for a $50,000 car, Jessica asked Chrysler to exchange it for a white minivan, which she donated to the kids.
So the Simpson gal, Tony Romo's sweetheart, is back to her SUV guzzling gas. Although she does do something for the environment if you believe this site: Jessica Simpson (unknowingly) buys organic lingerie!
