Miranda Cosgrove Porsche Cayenne

Miranda Cosgrove has spent some of her money to buy a Porsche Cayenne. The cute iCarly actress and singer who is attending college at USC, got her driving permit last year. On her Twitter Miranda Cosgrove had shared her frustration at the time it was taking: "Flunked my driving test the other day due to curb issues. Just took a two hour driving lesson #feelinghopeful." Finally Miranda got her driving license in January and tweeted: "I'm officially a licensed driver #lifeisgood #watchoutLA"

A few months later the new driver had her first fender bender. Miranda Cosgrove told Teen Vogue that it happened at the local In-N-Out Burger where she and her friends stopped their Porsche Cayenne to say hi to one of their male crushes: "We rolled down the window to say hello. Then she wanted us to take off quickly—to look cool! She's like, 'Back up!' I put the car in reverse and ran really fast into a pole."

Ban night driving by teens

British Member of Parliament, Mark Pawsey, has called for a ban on night driving by teens until they have gained more driving experience. According to statistics one in five newly qualified drivers get into a crash within six months of obtaining their license. The ban on night driving is part of the system of graduated driver licensing schemes, used in Canada, Australia and the US.

Mr Pawsey said: "graduated driver licensing.....reduces exposure to those conditions and builds on-road driving experience by providing an intermediate phase - where there is a degree of supervision and control - between being a learner and holding a full licence." Newly-qualified drivers would be free to drive without supervision, but not with passengers and not at night, he said. They would also be barred from driving after drinking alcohol or taking drugs.
